Pearl Jam‘s MTV Unplugged is set to be released on vinyl as part of Record Store Day‘s Black Friday event on Friday, November 29th.
Pearl Jam will be releasing MTV Unplugged 1992 an RSD exclusive vinyl pressing of their classic set from MTV Unplugged.
The session was recorded in the days following the band’s first-ever European tour. The performance saw the band perform six cuts from their debut record, Ten.
“We literally got off the plane from Europe, spent all day in a cavernous sound studio in New York, and did the show that night,” explained bassist Jeff Ament. “It’s pretty powerful, and Ed’s singing great. Yet it’s kind of naive, which is awesome.”
The recording of the show was released on DVD exactly ten years ago as an attachment to the Ten Legacy Edition.
