Pearl Jam and their activism on CCFA, Maui and much more

Mike McCready, Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament & Pearl Jam keep on fighting for good causes.

➠ Mike McCready will be performing the national anthem at T-Mobile Park on Sunday, August 13th for CCFA Day with the Mariners where they will face off against the Baltimore Orioles. For every ticket sold, $5 will benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and its mission to find cures and improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Tickets to the game, including a limited-edition Mariners-themed T-shirt, are available now.

➠“We are devastated to see the impacts of the wildfires in Hawaii” Pearl Jam wrote on their Instagram. “In an effort to raise support for organizations helping those affected, we are offering a chance to win a limited-edition 2018 2XL print reissue of Pearl Jam’s 1998 tour poster from Hawaii, signed by all five current members of Pearl Jam plus touring keyboardist and lifelong Hawaii resident Boom Gaspar”.

Visiting Chicago for the Pearl Jam shows next month? Come to Wrigley Field on Wednesday, September 6th and join Pearl Jam’s Ten Club for a special offer with the Cubs. Each ticket purchased using the ticket offer link below will include a Pearl Jam x Chicago Cubs “Vedder” jersey, and a portion of the ticket proceeds will support Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation.

Join the Ten Club to watch the OL Reign take on DC’s Washington Spirit on Friday, October 6th at Lumen Field in Seattle. What makes this game special is that not only will it be Ten Club night, but it’s the last regular season game at home for OL Reign player Megan Rapinoe before she retires from professional soccer. Each ticket purchased through this link will receive a special Pearl Jam x OL Reign scarf and a portion of each ticket will go directly back to Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation.

➠ Eddie Vedder caught up with Rory Sloane to chat all things Crows, footy and his charity EBResearch. Catch a snippet of the chat here.

➠ Jeff Ament remembers Jamie Reid, Sex Pistols cover artist. “RIP, Jamie Reid, with Vivienne and Malcolm, created visceral and original works in parallel with the Pistols’ music, forming one of the great art movements of modern times”, Ament wrote on his Instagram. “His colorful collage and cut and paste style let us know you could do it from your own home with minimal tools, and, most importantly, that the rough edges and smears told us that it came from a real person’s hands, and not a computer. Thank you.” Jamie Reid, the artist behind the Sex Pistols’ signature logo and album covers, passed away on August 8, 2023.

Last but not least, to commemorate the upcoming five-year anniversary of Pearl Jam’s Away Shows, watch the band’s full-length concert from August 13, 2018, in Missoula, MT on the Ten Club members only “Inside” video page.
