Mike McCready pays tribute to Neil Young, Matt Cameron covers Soundgarden while Loosegroove Records launches its own radio show.
* On June 16, Scott McCaughey, who had already released a Neil Young tribute album in 2020, will release Calling Cortez (featuring Minus 5). The album will feature eleven songs inspired by the Canadian songwriter, several of which will feature Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready on guitar. More infos at theminus5.bandcamp.com,
* Superunknown Redux and Best of Soundgarden Redux will be released this summer, featuring Soundgarden covers. Among these there will also be a version of 4th Of July recorded by various artists, including Matt Cameron & Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of The Stone Age). * On May 5, Stone Gossard and Regan Hagar aired on SiriusXM’s Pearl Jam radio the first episode of a show entirely dedicated to their record label, Loosegroove Records. Each episode will feature an artist or a band from the label’s catalogue, that will be interviewed and will perform. The first guest was Brittany Murphy, the next episodes will feature Jonny Polonsky, Jamie Hall of TigerCub, James and the Cold Gun and Mason Jennings. There will also be an episode dedicated to Brad’s latest studio album which will be released on July 28th,
