Josh Klinghoffer will join Jane’s Addiction on tour in place of Dave Navarro

Josh Klinghoffer will join Jane’s Addiction on tour in place of Dave Navarro as he continues recovering from long COVID.

According to exclaim.ca, Jane’s Addiction have reunited for a tour and recording sessions, but guitarist Dave Navarro has been sidelined with a case of long COVID. The band have confirmed that they are forging ahead with recording — and, due to Navarro’s health, their next project may instead feature former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Today, Jane’s Addiction confirmed Josh Klinghoffer will be the guitarist of the band on the West Coast & South America tours and for some additional international shows to be announced soon.

Josh Klinghoffer – who now serves as a touring member of both Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder‘s solo outfit, the Earthlings – made his live debut with Jane’s Addiction during the band’s concert at the TD Garden in Boston on 10/16/2022.

Klinghoffer joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2007, after John Frusciante left the band for the second time, and he has been a member of the RHCP until 2019, when Frusciante returned to the lineup. In 2019, 2020 and 2022 he released three solo records under the name Pluralone.

Josh is (also) part of The Losers, the band Iggy Pop formed to bring on tour his new album, Every Loser, published on January 6th for Gold Tooth Records, the new record company created by Andrew Watt.
