Dave Abbruzzese plays Pearl Jam’s Go, Jack Irons releases his new solo album

What happened to former Pearl Jam drummers? Here are the latest news about Dave Abbruzzese, Jack Irons, Matt Chamberlain and Dave Krusen.

After some 30 years since its first release on record, Dave Abbruzzese shared on his YouTube channel an instrumental version of Go he recorded last month in his personal studio.

The Pearl Jam drummer from 1991 to 1994 has collaborated in the past years with the late Brad and Satchel singer Shawn Smith – for the song The Child of The Water I Am – and with Pseutopia, a grunge, Indian band. With them he recorded several songs and also a Chris Cornell cover, Seasons, recorded to commemorate the late Soundgarden singer. Two years ago Abbruzzese played drums in a Rearviewmirror cover together with some Pearl Jam fans of the community Pearl Family France.

Jack Irons, who was Pearl Jam’s drummer from 1994 to 1998, will publish his 4th solo record on July 26th 2023, the title will be Dreamer’s Ball/Walnut and it will also feature two EP Irons published last year. The Vinyl is available for pre-order at orgmusic.com.

Matt Chamberlain, who played in Pearl Jam for a few months in the summer of 1991, is now a member of Painted Shield, the new Stone Gossard side project with Mason Jennings, Brittany Davis and Jeff Fielder. After their debut in 2020, last year they published their second album, titled Painted Shield 2. There are also rumors about a third record being completed soon…

And last but not least, Dave Krusen, the first drummer of the Seattle band, who recorded their first album Ten, played some live shows with Pearl Jam in the spring of 2022. Below a footage of one of the shows.
