![]() At the end of their US fall tour that kicks off tomorrow – as usual, you can follow it in our constantly updated On The Road section – Pearl Jam will be among the guests at the 28th Annual Bridge School Benefit, to be held on October 25 and 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California (click the left image to check out the complete bill). This is Pearl Jam’s 9th participation in the acoustic benefit patronized by ‘Uncle’ Neil Young, but it will also be the first time – since the summer of 1993 – that Pearl Jam and Soundgarden will be performing on the same bill… Temple of The Dog reunion in sight? |

![]() More benefit events involving Eddie Vedder. First one is a gift from Ten Club to its members: the cover of Imagine by John Lennon, performed at Eddie’s solo concert on July 18 in Meco, Portugal. Imagine has been chosen as the A side of the annual Ten Club single to be delivered to all 2014 Ten Club members (both Digital and Analog). To download it, you just have to login to pearljam.comand go to My Account > My Membership > Downloads. The vinyl format for Analog members will be mailed when the single is complete. Imagine is also available for anyone who is not a Ten Club member beginning today on iTunes. Proceeds will go to Heartbeat.fm, an organization that creates opportunities and spaces for young Israeli and Palenstinian musicians to work together. |

![]() As every year, Pearl Jam are releasing a new volume of their Vault series – archive bootlegs selected from hundreds of concerts that have not yet been officially released. This time, the choice fell on the warm-up show of the Binaural Tour at the Mt. Baker Theatre in Bellingham on May 10, 2000 (here’s the setlist). The release is currently available for pre-order as a 180 gram 3-LP set for Ten Club members only in the Pearl Jam Shop (until 9/10/2014). After orders will begin shipping (December 2014 – January 2015), the show will be also available for purchase in Digital and CD formats. |

The score of the movie Out of the Furnace, released in the U.S. in December 2013, features a beautiful new version of Pearl Jam’s classic Release, whose vocal track was re-recorded last year for the movie. Note: In agreement with Vedder, the film’s director, Scott Cooper, has decided to set aside “two or three very personal songs for me that aren’t in the film and only he and I will share” (source). Only time will tell if these unreleased tracks will see the light in any official publication (perhaps a future solo album by Ed?)… |
