On their official Instagram account, the band paid tribute to female figures whose work has had a positive impact on the community.
On March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day, Pearl Jam shared a message on their official Instagram account to honor three extraordinary women whose contributions to the arts have had a positive impact on the community. The band partnered with Path with Art—an organization supported by the Vitalogy Foundation—to recognize these inspiring figures and, more broadly, all the women who work every day to build a better future for women and girls around the world.
In their post, the band honored:
-
April Cameron, musician, creative mentor, and Path with Art board member. The wife of Matt Cameron, she has been involved with the organization since 2019, dedicating her time and energy to supporting the community through music and art.
-
Shaina Shepherd, artist, musician, and passionate teacher. Known for her magnetic stage presence, she has brought the same intensity and joy to her classes. In December 2024, she collaborated with Nudedragons, the Soundgarden pseudonym project, performing live with them.
-
Susan Magsamen, New York Times best-selling author and a pioneer in the field of neuroaesthetics. Her book Your Brain on Art has scientifically demonstrated that creativity is not just a luxury but an essential tool for health and well-being.
With this post, published on their official Instagram profile, Pearl Jam once again reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the arts as a means of transformation and inclusion, celebrating the contributions of women in the creative world and society.
