Pearl Jam at the AMAs: Still Killin’ It

From their breakout in ‘93 to a fresh 2025 nom, Seattle’s rocks giants are still owning the rock game.

Pearl Jam just snagged a new nomination at the 2025 American Music Awards, this time for Favorite Rock Artist. The show’s goin’ down on May 26 in Vegas, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, with none other than J.Lo hosting.

This ain’t their first rodeo either – PJ’s got a solid history of wins at the AMAs:

  • 1993: Came in hot with wins for Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist and Favorite New Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist. Total game-changer.

  • 1996: Crushed it again with two more trophies – Favorite Alternative Artist and Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist.

  • 1999: Took home Favorite Alternative Artist once more.

  • 2006: Got another nod for Favorite Alternative Artist – no win, but still in the game.

All in all, the band’s scored 5 wins out of 10 noms, holdin’ strong as legends in the rock scene.

Now, with this 2025 nomination, Pearl Jam’s proving they’ve still got that fire. They’re up against some tough names – Hozier, Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, and Zach Bryan – but you know PJ fans ride hard.

With a career stretchin’ over three decades, Pearl Jam’s still a rock staple. Their presence at the AMAs year after year just shows they’re not goin’ anywhere – and yeah, they’re still doin’ it their way.
