Painted Shield first studio album, a new band featuring Stone Gossard, Mason Jennings and Matt Chamberlain, will be released soon.

The record, that is still untitled, has been produced by John Congleton, who already worked with Angel Olsen and St. Vincent. Gossard wrote the music and Jannings wrote the melodies and the lyrics. The trio started to work on their debut record 5 years ago. The last song inserted in the album has been “virtually” completed since the three musicians were already on self-isolation due to the spread of COVID-19.

Oddly, in October 2014 the first result from this collaboration has been published on the Pearl Jam site, it was a single vinyl with two previously unreleased songs (Knife Fight and Caught In A Mess).

[The Album] “It’s definitely more rock, and more progressive and electronic, too. I’m pretty excited about it.” Mason Jennings affirmed.
