From studio sessions to the Sadie soundtrack and wild live jams, this musical bond keeps evolving.

Pearl Jam’s guitarist Mike McCready is teaming up with Thunderpussy at the Showbox in Seattle on December 11, 2025. This gig marks another chapter in a long-running musical connection, spanning live shows, studio collabs, and even a movie soundtrack.
Their work together kicked off in the studio, with McCready adding his signature guitar touch to tracks like Velvet Noose, bringing riffs and production know-how. He later contributed vocals and extra layers to On the Line from the Milk It EP, enriching the band’s sound. Their partnership continued on the second album, West (2024), where McCready laid down additional guitar parts on I Can Do Better and Setting Sail, shaping arrangements and boosting the tracks’ dynamics.
Beyond studio work, McCready joined Thunderpussy for the soundtrack of the 2018 film Sadie. Mixing the band’s raw rock energy with McCready’s cinematic touch, they crafted tracks like Show Your Colors, Sadie’s Theme, Shuffle Your Feet, Letters to the Front, and Old Coot, blending instrumental vibes and vocal hooks that perfectly complement the movie.
On stage, McCready has been no stranger to jam sessions and spontaneous solos with Thunderpussy, creating unpredictable and memorable live moments. From Seattle gigs to special events and local festivals, his presence blends seamlessly with the band, proving a natural chemistry built over years.
The upcoming Showbox show is the latest chapter in this ongoing collaboration, combining McCready’s experience with Thunderpussy’s energy. Fans can expect a night packed with solos, improvisation, and shared musical sparks that celebrate a bond forged through studio work, live performances, and cinema.
